چکیده
The objective of this study was to evaluate the ability foliar application potassium nitrate (KNO3) induce water deficit tolerance in sorghum plants (Sorghum bicolor cv. P898012) subjected at pre-flowering. experiment conducted under greenhouse conditions with 4 treatments: field capacity (FC), (WD), + KNO3 (FC KNO3), and (WD KNO3). Two applications 3% (m/v) were made, first on day zero stress second fifth day. All analyses performed after 12 days (end stress). Foliar irrigated led increases relative chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration, carboxylation efficiency. It also induced leaf concentrations P, Mg, S, Cu, Fe, addition height growth. Under conditions, treated presented higher area, efficiency, levels K, Fe than those not KNO3. morphometry root system altered by treatments. In addition, showed growth a grain yield 32.2% that did receive These results demonstrated applied leaves severe

Water relations, pigment stabilization, photosynthetic abilities and growth improvement in salt stressed rice plants treated with exogenous potassium nitrate application
Potassium is a major nutrient which may play an important role in many processes such as ion homeostasis in plant cells and osmotic adjustment of guard cells during stomatal opening and closing. Pathumthani 1 (PT1) rice has been reported as being a salt sensitive cultivar and has been selected as a model plant in this study to investigate the possibility of improving the osmotic potential, pigm...

متن کاملApplication of barley straw to remove nitrate from drainage water
ABSTRACT-Nowadays farmers often use N-fertilizers to increase crop yield, but they lost quickly by leaching causes environmental contaminations that reported as most important source of pollutant. Although biofilters are useful for removing nitrate from drainage water, but many researches show that they need an external carbon source to sustain denitrification. Many researchers study on differe...
